Candle Care

To ensure you get the most out of your Pink Pond candle please follow the instructions below:

The first burn is super important!

When burning your candle for the first time, please allow the wax to melt until it fully reaches the edges of your vessel, this will create a candle memory and will ensure a clean and even burn the next time you light your candle. It will take approximately 2-4 hours of burn to achieve this so make sure you have the time set aside.

Trim your wick

Trim your wicks before each and every use. We recommend using a wick trimmer or to break off the charred ends with your fingers before you light your candle. This helps control your flame to ensure maximum burn time.

Keeping your wick short and char free means the flame is kept nice and low to the wax allowing it to bring the wax up through the wick. A wick that is too long can burn too hot, cause sooting and shorten the burn life of your candle.

Do not burn for more than 3 hours at a time

If you burn for too long carbon will collect on the wick. This can cause the wick to become unstable, the flame to get too large, your candle to smoke, and soot to be released into the air. The wax can also get too hot and burn your beautiful fragrance off.

Safety instructions

Please follow the safety instructions below when burning your candle. You can refer to these on the bottom of your vessel too.

  • Never leave your burning candle unattended.
  • Discontinue use when your candle has 1-1.5cm of wax left in the bottom of your vessel.
  • Keep away from drafts, windows and vibrations.
  • Burn your candle on a heat resistant surface.
  • Never move you candle while lit.
  • Store in a cool dry place, away from sunlight.

To clean out your vessel
