Our fav way to clean out and re-use your candle vessel

Pals, hello again👋

You've listened to our tips and tricks to get your candle to burn properly and now you are left with a 1cm layer of wax at the bottom of your vessel. Well do we have news for you... this doesn't have to be the end of your Pink Pond aromas just yet! Read on to discover the best way to clean out your candle vessel and reuse the last part of wax to ensure you REALLY get the most out of your candle.

  • Pour boiling water directly into the vessel. The wax and fragrance oils will melt and start to bubble up to the surface.
  • Leave this to set overnight.
  • Once hardened, push on one side to remove the wax.
  • Remove the wick and wick clip and wash the vessel.

The added bonus of doing this is you can reuse the last of the wax in a wax melter to get every last bit of fragrance out of your Pink Pond candle.

Wax melters burn off the remaining fragrance in the wax. Once all the fragrance is gone, wait for the wax to cool and discard the wax.

Your vessel is now clean and ready to be re-used.
We like reusing our candle vessels in the bathroom for storing bath salts, cotton balls and cotton tips etc.
They can also be used in the kitchen to store tea, coffee etc...

But our FAVOURITE way to reuse our candle vessel is with a giant, juicy margi. Who knew a candle vessel could also make for a cute cocktail glass.

We'll end with a recipe for our perfect Pink Pond margi and a fitting quote from one of our customers, because it really is "the candle that keeps on giving".

Pink Pond Coconut Chilli Margarita recipe:

  • 1 double shot of 1800 coconut tequila.
  • 1 single shot of orange liqueur (triple sec, cointreau or grand mariner).
  • 1 double shot of lime juice.
  • 1 double shot of coconut water (or coconut cream/coconut milk if you prefer).
  • A cup of ice.
  • Pour the above ingredients into a cocktail shaker and give it a good shake.
  • Rim your vessel with a mix of salt flakes (or regular salt if that's all you have), desiccated coconut and chilli flakes. We rim our vessels with a squeeze of lime juice for that extra flavour.
  • Fill your vessel with ice and pour in the contents of your shaker.
  • Garnish with a slice of lime.

ENJOY!
