Vanilla scented candles:  

Vanilla candles are a go-to for candle lovers. Vanilla scent has enthralled sniffers since way back in the 20th century. It draws people in with its sweet, warm and somewhat nutty tones while still being soft and creamy. Click here to shop our candles with Vanilla notes.  

Citrus scented candles:  

Citrus scented candles are also very popular. Citrus notes are fresh and zesty which creates a very uplifting environment. It also pairs well with other fragrances such as florals and woods. Floral scented candles:  

Nothing quite beats the scent of freshly cut flowers. Scented candles last a lot longer than a bunch of flowers so we have captured some of the best floral scents in our natural candle range. Floral notes are feminine, soft and diverse. Lavender scented candles are known for their wellness factor, said to help with anxiety, stress, sleep and overall relaxation. Spiced scented candles:  

If you're after a Christmas scented candles, you can't go wrong with a spiced candle. Cinnamon candles especially capture the essence of Christmas scents. Spiced scented candles are rich, sweet and remind of you delicious Christmas puddings. Winter also really suits a spiced scented candle as it add warmth and cosiness to your atmosphere. Tropical scented candles:   

Tropical scents make for a punchy fruity candle, or paired with softer supporting notes it can be balanced and sophisticated. Coconut scented candles are a delicate way to bring the tropical feeling. Woody scented candle: 

Woods scents are defined by their opulent woody character with notes coming from woods materials like trees, resin, moss, bark, pine cones and bushes but also roots. They give depth and are the core character to many perfume candles. A sandalwood candle can make for the perfect accompaniment in a masculine scented candle, aka a "boy smells candle". Wax melts:  

Scented wax melts are a great way to sample candle fragrances. We sometimes send out free samples of our coconut and soy wax melts with your order if there is a new scented candle on the way, so you can have a sneak peak of what it might smell like. You can use a traditional tea light candle wax burners or an electric wax burners for your wax melts. 

Soy wax and coconut wax scented candles: 

We use a 50/50 coconut and natural soy wax blend. We find there are benefits to using both soy wax and coconut wax. We take pride in the look of our candles. Soy wax leaves a creamy finish to the top of the candle but is known to "frost" after it has been burnt. By using coconut wax along with the soy wax, we get the creamy finish with no frosting, leaving a smoother finish throughout the lifetime of the candle. Coconut wax is the best candle wax for high scent throw when burning and when cold and along with soy wax does not require chemical amplifiers meaning our wax blend is non-toxic. Our soy wax is made from 100% pure soybeans which is an environmentally friendly renewable resource and it does not emit any nasty substances into our atmosphere. Coconut wax emits zero soot particles and is petro-carbon soot free. Coconut wax does not blacken walls nor add toxic carcinogens into the air you breathe.  

Our fragrances: 

All of our fragrance oils are 100% phthalate free and paraffin free and comply with the strictest global RIFM and IFRA standards. They are also palm and mineral free, vegan and not tested on animals. They also do not contain GMO. We blend our premium candle fragrance oils on site to create our own bespoke scent libary so you can have the best scented candles.

Wooden wicks: 

We are all about adding ambience with our scented candles and wooden wicks help do just that. Along with being aesthetically pleasing, studies have shown that consumers find wooden wicks more calming and create more ambiance than cotton wicks. If you take a quiet moment you can hear the subtle crackle our wood wicks provide, just like a mini wood burning fire. Our wood wicks are 100% eco-friendly and toxin free, making for a cleaner burn and they also make the candle last longer. Wood wick candles also have a 35% wider fragrance throw than cotton wick candles. Wood wicks elevate your home scents into luxury home fragrance!

We are your chandlers, Mel and Shannon. On a windy Wellington day, chatting over a bowl of chilli oil dumplings, the idea of Pink Pond Candle Co sparked. Since then it's been all energy to make our dream come to fruition. We met in an antenatal group 9 years ago. What started as a friendship over growing bumps, nappies and sleep deprivation has grown into a shared passion of colour, beautiful interiors and home fragrance. 

The journey to launch Pink Pond Candle Co has been filled with research, testing and most importantly, excitement.
